JUNIORS

COMPETITIVE JUNIOR PAYMENTS 

 For parents of all junior competitive program players (including Satellite I & II, Junior Challengers, Junior Grand Prix, Junior Tour, Grand Prix and Girls High School):

Payment for the programs MUST be made BEFORE starting to play in the program! This applies to all players in all programs and for every twelve week session (fall, winter and spring). If your child starts late, the amount will be pro-rated for the remainder of the 12 weeksession but still must be paid before starting to play. 

You will NOT receive a bill in the mail so please contact the front desk to make your payment – thank you!

CARMEL HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS STATE CHAMPS

The Carmel High School girls’ tennis team finished 19-0, marking the third consecutive time the program won a state title while being undefeated. They beat Providence 5-0 in the title match. This is the team’s fourth title in five years. Congratulations to these CRC members for being part of the starting varsity: Grace Marchese (11), Apurva Manas (10), and Zoe Woods (12).

Carmel High School dominated the 2016-17 high school athletic year. The girls’ tennis title was the school’s seventh team championship during the 2016-17 school year, tying an IHSAA record set in 2011-12 — by Carmel.

DISTRICT TEAM CUPS

In mid June the 13 districts in the USTA Midwest Section (IN, MI, OH, WI, IL) assembled their top junior players to compete in the USTA Midwest Section Team Cup championships. The 18’s divisions are separate boy and girl competitions. The 12’s and 14’s are mixed. All events play singles and doubles.

HCCTA COLLEGE SCHOLARHIP WINNERS

Congratulations to Reiley Harrington, Laura Moore, and Evan Parshall for being the 2017 recipients of a HCCTA College Scholarship. All three played junior tennis at CRC. The main criteria for a HCCTA College Scholarship is performing community service with an Hamilton County Community Tennis Association®/HCCTA  program.

Since 1996 more than $58,000 has been awarded to 87 Hamilton County high school tennis players by HCCTA. These scholarships are open to high school tennis players residing in Hamilton County. In addition to HCCTA community service the scholarship is based on and academic and tennis achievements. A list of former winners is on the CRC Wall of Fame.

JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS IN-HOUSE LEAGUE

Intermediate juniors ages 10’s, 12’s, and 14’s can play in the in-house CRC team tennis league this fall-spring season. Intermediate players who are able to serve and play points will join teams for Sunday play between the hours of 12-6 pm. More information will be available at CRC by late July.
